Allowance Committee Proposes Hike in HRA: 7th Pay Commission, this is latest news for all central government employee and state government employee. Government of India and Finance Ministry has formed committee to finalize allowances given to government employee. They review on allowance like House Rant Allowance HRA, Travelling Allowance TA etc. In last meeting hike in allowance is discussed and in about to finalize.

Allowance Committee Proposes Hike in HRA: 7th Pay Commission

On 25 October last meeting was held to finalize HRA allowance percentage for all central government employee and state government employee.

According to last meeting review, committee proposes HRA allowance 30%, 20% and 10% respectively for X, Y and Z city in place of 24%, 16% and 8% proposed by 7th pay panel.

7th Pay Commission panel has proposed 24%, 16% and 8% HRA allowance for class X, class Y and class Z cities whenever DA reaches 50% it will be increased to 27%, 18% and 9% and Finally after DA reaches 100% the HRA will be revised to 30% , 20% and 10% for X,Y and Z cities respectively. But at the time of implementation of 7th pay commission all central government employee union unhappy with this fitment factor and allowance percentage proposed by 7th CPC panel. So government has decided to form one committee on allowance for reviews percentage of allowances and finalize for all central government employee. committee has to report within 4 month. So it is time to finalize HRA allowance percentage.

National Council (Staff Side) Joint Consultative Machinery (NCJCM) has demanded in its Memorandum submitted to the 7th Pay Commission that 60%, 40% and 20% HRA to be recommended for X,Y and Z cities.
