Ashok Lavasa Panel Report on HRA Allowances THIS WEEK. This is the latest and final news for House Rant Allowance. Committee on House Rant Allowance was working to review recommendation given by 7th CPC panel. Head of this committee is Ashok Lavasa. From June 2016, after implementation of 7th pay commission by central government, they are working for HRA allowances given to central government employee, state government employee and pensioners. This high level committee is going to submit this final report this week to finance minister Arun Jaitley.

According to media news, the committee had held a conclusive meeting on 6th April 2017.
This committee was working to examine the 7th CPC recommendation for subsuming 36 allowances into larger existing ones and abolition of 53 allowances out of a total of 196 allowances paid to government employee.
Last meeting was held on 28 March 2017. In this meeting this committee discussed with ministries of Post department, Railway and defense on accident allowance, trip allowance, out station allowance, ghat allowance and another 14 allowances.
As per 7th CPC panel recommendation, rate of house rent allowance will be 8%, 16% and 24% of basic pay for class Z, Y and X city. When DA crosses 50% the rate of HRA will be revised 9%, 18% and 27% respectively. When DA crosses 100% the rate of HRA will be revised 10%, 20% and 30% respectively.

This allowance report will be benefit for 47 lakh central government employee and 53 lakh pensioners and all state government employee. Hope this committee submit final report this week only. You can download report on HRA allowances in PDF.
