It is expected that final report on allowance submit today by review committee of allowances. After submission of final report on allowances by finance secretary, Ashok Lavasa government announce to implement allowances as per 7th pay commission.

After implementation of 7th pay commission from August 2016, all government employee was not satisfy with multiplication factor. So government has only implement increment in salary and make one review committee to review allowances recommended by 7th pay panel. This committee is headed by finance secretary Ashok Lavasa and given time to submit 22 february as a last date to submit to its final report to Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.
Revised allowances are likely to be effective from 1st April 2017.
7th Pay Commission committee had examined 196 existing allowances. It had recommended abolition of 51 allowances and subsuming of 37 allowances. Now review committee is going to submit its final report on allowance. 7th Pay Panel has recommended 8%, 16% and 24% HRA (house rant allowance) as a basic allowance when DA is 0%. HRA will be 9%, 18% and 27% when DA reaches 50%. HRA will be 10%, 20% and 30% when DA reaches 100%. Now, which type of changes given by review committee? It is finalize after submission of review report by review committee.
